A Quinta

Join our team and build on your skills to become an experienced PDC Teacher! Break free from the day to day life in the city and give yourself a life changing experience. We would be delighted to hear from you.

You will guide a few Learnership Volunteers with daily chores and special projects while  learning and developing valuable Permaculture and Regenerative Agriculture skills. You will be expected to work around 30 hours a week according to our working schedule. With one full day off a week. After the first month of settling in and depending on your skills as a team leader, the possibility of receiving a weekly salary will be discussed.

You will get the opportunity to plan and give a workshop to real students, participate in the community listening circle and have time each day to ask questions and study from books and video's in our library. You will also be given the freedom to make designs, of which some may be actualised within the project.

You will be able to enjoy the beautiful tranquility of the landscape, swim in the natural pond, take a walk in the forest or spend time with other volunteers and participants outside of working hours. Be aware that this  experience will not only give you tools to become a good teacher, but it will also be a personal transformation through living in community and reconnecting with nature.

Accommodation is in a spacious and cosy dormitory and you are asked to share in the cleaning and keeping the buildings tidy. You will receive 3 good meals a day. And you may also be asked to share your cooking skills by helping in the kitchen to prepare the meals with love, which are catered for both vegetarians and omnivores. We try to use as much home grown organic produce as possible, as well as home grown grass fed meats and free ranging chickens and eggs.

Please bring your own ecological (!) soaps and toothpaste, along with a towel and sleeping bag. We also recommend you bring your own camera, laptop, notebook or other device to log your experiences and learnings. We have bicycles on site to get around.

This program is popular and because of this, we do have a formal application process.  After we have received your application form, we will contact you within a few days.  Additionally, please know that we can only accommodate those able to commit a minimum of 4 weeks to 3 months. Longer stays are arranged on a case-by-case basis. You must be 18 years or older to be considered for this program.

One last thing, It is important to know that you are responsible for and must supply proof of medical insurance coverage in the event of any accident or injury. If you don't have insurance yet, I would recommend oveuropa.com who have a cheap package for 35 euro's a year.
