O Sun — Eternal Source of Light and Life

O Sun, eternal source of light and life,
from your fire every movement is born.

Rania’s journey began within the discipline of classical ballet, where precision and control shaped every gesture. Yet, over time, she felt a quiet call to move beyond form—to find a language of movement that arose from within, guided not by structure but by breath, emotion, and inner rhythm.

Through this search, Rania came to understand movement as a path of liberation—especially for the feminine body, which carries its own wisdom, cycles, and memories. Letting go of the restraint of classical form, she turned toward a dance that flows, spirals, and breathes—honoring the body’s natural intelligence and its sacred connection to the cosmos.

This exploration led Rania to the ancient lands of Asia Minor, where movement was once a sacred act dedicated to Inanna, the radiant goddess of love, fertility, and transformation. Associated with the planet Venus, Inanna embodied the rhythm of dawn and dusk—the eternal cycle of descent and ascent, light and shadow, birth and renewal.

Inanna’s dance was both cosmic and deeply human, tracing the journey of the soul through the changing phases of existence. To dance in her spirit is to embody the luminous and the dark—to allow movement to express what words cannot: the awakening of the inner light within the body of a woman.

Rania is the facilitator of the weekly session Dance of Inanna: Movement of Venus. All artwork featured on this page is created by her.

Through a combination of structured awareness and free flow, we will explore the body as a vessel of transformation and renewal. The workshop unfolds through:

Awakening the body with breath, grounding, and centering practices.

Flowing sequences inspired by circular and spiral movements that echo the orbits of Venus.

Intuitive dance and improvisation, allowing movement to emerge from sensation and inner rhythm.

Collective ritual movement, where shared gestures become offerings to the light within and around us.

This journey honors the feminine principle of movement—fluid, receptive, and radiant. It invites each woman to rediscover her own rhythm, to express without restraint, and to remember the ancient bond between body, planet, and star.

Through dance, we return to Inanna’s light—the brilliance of Venus in the morning sky—and to the Sun, eternal source of energy, illumination, and life.
