Shared Spaces

Life at A Quinta is about co-living and co-working in simple, welcoming spaces. They’re designed to make it easy to connect with others, get your work done, and enjoy the everyday rhythms of shared life.

Main Hall & Outdoor Workspaces

The heart of A Quinta is our main hall. Nestled inside is a traditional clay stove that brings warmth, comfort, and a sense of home. The hall is also equipped with a great sound system, making it an inviting place for music, lectures, and shared activities.

It’s the central hub of our co-working life — some days filled with quiet focus, laptops open and coffee nearby, other days alive with group projects or evening gatherings. For those who prefer the outdoors, there are shaded spots and garden corners with strong Starlink WiFi, perfect for working in the fresh air with birdsong in the background.

Kitchens

Food is at the heart of co-living at A Quinta, and we have a few different kitchens to match the needs of our community.

The big main kitchen is where our team prepares daily lunches, often using fresh vegetables and herbs from our dry-farmed garden. It’s a lively space, full of color, smells, and the care of those who cook for everyone.

For guests and residents, there are two communal kitchens. In the shared house you’ll find a cozy indoor kitchen, perfect for preparing meals together at the end of the day. For those staying closer to nature — in tents or camping — there’s also an outdoor communal kitchen, where cooking happens under the sky, with the sounds of the land all around.

Across all of our kitchens, the ingredients are simple and seasonal: dry-farmed vegetables from our own garden whenever possible, complemented by organic produce from local markets. And because people from many different places pass through A Quinta, meals often carry a blend of cultures, flavors, and stories — a reminder that cooking together is one of the easiest ways to feel at home.

As part of co-living, everyone is also responsible for the spaces they use, leaving kitchens tidy and ready for the next person. Caring for the kitchen is part of caring for the community.

Showers & Compost Toilets

Our shared bathrooms are simple, natural, and designed to be kind to the land. Compost toilets turn what we usually throw away into something useful, and our rainwater showers are heated by the sun for a refreshing, eco-friendly experience. We use only natural soaps and products, so the water can safely return to the soil, completing the cycle.

As part of co-living, everyone helps care for these spaces. After using the showers or toilets, we all take a moment to leave them clean and ready for the next person. It’s a small act that keeps the community running smoothly and ensures that living lightly with nature is also comfortable for everyone.
